Sailing+ ("we," "us," or "our") operates sailing.plus. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information we collect

Account data: your email address (for passwordless magic link login) and display name.
Content you create: adventure listings, descriptions, images, and other materials you publish.
Billing data: handled by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We do not store credit card numbers or payment credentials.
Server logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, kept for security purposes.

How we use your information

Operate the marketplace.
Authenticate your identity via magic links.
Process subscription billing through Stripe.
Translate adventure content into configured languages using AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic). This happens server-side; your personal data is not sent to these providers, only the content text.
Maintain security and prevent abuse.
Send transactional emails (magic links, team invitations).

Information sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We share data only with:

Stripe for payment processing (privacy policy).
OpenAI and Anthropic for content translation and description generation. No personal data is sent, only the content text. (OpenAI privacy, Anthropic privacy).
Public listings: adventure content you publish is visible to anyone browsing the site.
Legal requirements: when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Data security

We use TLS/HTTPS encryption, passwordless authentication via time-limited magic links, and role-based access control. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Your rights

You can access, correct, delete, or export your personal data. If you are in the EEA, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Contact support@sailing.plus to exercise these rights.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only: a session cookie for authentication and a CSRF token for security. No analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Children's privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
